Hi

hero (hero):

The parent function is \(y = \dfrac{1}{x}\) First, Vertically stretching the function by a units gives it the form \(y = \dfrac{a}{x}\) (Your current form) Next, Shifting the function north by b units gives it an asymptote of y = b and the form \(y = \dfrac{a}{x} + b\) Finally, Shifting the function right by c units gives it an asymptote of \(x = c\) and the form \(y = \dfrac{a}{x-c} + b\)
