which type of radioactive decay is represented by the following equation? 14 (subscript) 6 C --> 14 (subscript) 7 N + 0 (subscript) -1 e

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is Beta Radiation. The decay breaks apart the neutron into a proton and electron and the electron is released( Beta Particle). Because of this, the atomic number increases by 1 and the mass number stays the same. you can tell that it is beta because of the 0 and -1 e which is referring to beta radiation
