A classmate believes that a triangle can have both a right angle and an obtuse angle. Which of the following statements would you use to convince him that he is incorrect? A. It is not possible because the sum of the angles in the triangle can’t exceed 180°. B. It is not possible because if a triangle has an obtuse triangle, that means all the angles are obtuse angles. C. It is not possible because if a triangle has a right triangle, that means all the angles are right angles. D. It is possible. Do you know what is obtuse angle?
yea
So, is 92 an obtuse angle? and is 86 an obtuse angle?
yea and yes
No... well, that means you don't know what an obtuse angle is. Obtuse angle is an angle which is less than 180 degrees and greater than 90 degrees. That is : \(\boxed{90< \color{blue}{ \text{Obtuse Angle} }< 180}\)
So, if an angle is 88 degrees, then as it is less than 90 degrees, so it will not be an obtuse angle...! And if the angle is 92 degrees, it is an obtuse angle.
k
Now, a right angle has a fixed value which is 90 degrees. So. 90 + obtuse angle will always be greater than 180 degrees.
ok ummm
Just suppose, the min. value of obtuse angle will be somewhat like 90.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000......1 Add this to right angle... what do you get? 180.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.....1 Isn't that greater than 180? ;)
sum of 3 angles of a triangle is 180 degree. right?
Sorry for those "0" s but I think that was important to show : P
yesit is
lilcece, did you get it?
is it like D .
i think my attachment works bettet
you did not put no attachment
hero send me warning for my attachment
wt do u think abt a
umm i dont see it
@mathslover is it D
hm
@lilcece , as I said above... right angle + obtuse angle can not be 180 or less than it.
see again.. obtuse angle is basically between 90 and 180 (excluding 90 and 180) So, right angle + obtuse angle + the third angle = 180 (TRIANGLE ANGLE SUM PROPERTY) or 90 + obtuse angle + third angle should be 180 As the third angle can not be negative or zero , thus : 90 + obtuse angle + third angle that is the sum of all the angles of triangle will not be 180 degress.
*degrees.
a tringle has 3 angles nd no angle is equal to 0 degree
I can give you a good proof why angles in a triangle are supplementary
ooohhh so A got it its A
yes
yes A
