whats the difference between polar and non polar bonds, or what is polar and non polar mean?

OpenStudy (dan815):

just repost it

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

a polar bond is a bond in which there is a difference in electronegativity (en) and a nonpolar bond has either no difference in (en) or is such as a tetrahedral bond angle or another bond angle that is nonpolar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 @Yuvika it probably had nothing to do with math and 2 @gotstylzz Polar is a molecule that has a negative charge on one side and a positive charge on the other. A non polar is a compound whose electrons are equally distributed among two atoms. Then the one with the partial charges is polar molecule ~WIKI ANSWERS :D

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

polar bonds experience dipole moments and intermolecular dispersion forces

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

nonpolar molecules only experience London dispersion forces

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohk as in compound racemose structure should be branched but why in spike of spikelet they are borne on peduncle???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm i dunno srry @Yuvika

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Legolas(theGirl) Thanks a ton! and for everybody else also thanks a ton!

not a problem
