Help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you need help with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To try to find the velocity of vector v

OpenStudy (anonymous):

V=(12,-17)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh sorry, I haven't learned that yet. but I will ask some friends to help you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks so much:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You like Luke? :O lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My fave is Ashton lol

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

o.o That is the velocity vector.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But they all are great

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nice lol :) I love 5sos

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iPwnBunnies yeah

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

The velocity of a vector? o.o That doesn't make sense.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats how the answers look like...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont understand how to solve

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Do you have to turn it into a vector?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i just need the velocity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and direction

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

.-. Yeah, I know. I don't know whether you need it in a vector or not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lets say we dont

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would i solve?

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Then I'm not sure how to represent it. That would be velocity. A speed + direction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay then lets say we do need to put it in a vector

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually forget about velocity i just need help in direction...

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

You're given a bearing, 305.2 degrees.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Omg thanks so much! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did u get that?

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

It's in the picture you gave me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i thought you were saying the answer lmao

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

o.o Well I am. I don't understand what you're getting at. Velocity is speed plus direction. The picture you showed me has a speed in miles per hour and a direction. It's a velocity.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay theres three pics..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which pic are you talking about?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help @triciaal ?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

pythagorean theorem 12^2 + 17^2 = v^2 144 + 289 = 533 v = rt of v^2 = rt of 533 = 23.08

OpenStudy (triciaal):

tan (theta) = -17/12 take the inverse tan to get the angle = 54.78 360 - 54.78 = 305.2
