well first month he paid 150 second month he paid (150 *1.3 ) then 1.3 (150 *1.3 ) and so on each time u can note we multibly bu 1.3

so if we have segma which is sumation of money he paid it would be 150 + (150 *1.3 )+ (150 *1.3^2 )+ (150 *1.3^3 )+....

\[\sum_{1}^{15} 150+ 150*1.3\] for the original and then \[\sum_{1}^{15} 150(1.3^x) or \sum_{1}^{15} 150+150(1.3)\]
