Segment AB has point A located at (4, 2). If the distance from A to B is 3 units, which of the following is the coordinate for point B? (5, 2) (1, 5) (4, -1) (-2, 2)
Please Help Me.
I was thinking A

Could u help me @sidsiddhartha
u can use the distence formula that is distence between any two points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is \[d=\large \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}\]
in ur question \[(x_1,y_1)=(4,2) \] and distence =d=3 is given now plug the values in the options and see for which set of points d=3
But i dont have two coordinates i just got 4,2
yes i quite understand that but not the rest im thinking it would be C
How about u @Loser66
yes (x1,y1)=4,2 and one of the options is (x2,y2) now u just need to put them one by one and see in which one d comes 3
So im saying C then?
yeah good its C ^_^
Wait dont leave help me with 2 more last question and thats it i promise
Point A is located at (2, 6), and D is located at (−4, 10). Find the coordinates of the point that lies halfway between A and D. (−1, 8) (3, 2) (−2, 7) (−3, 4)
I was saying C but im not so sure
But i was going towards B
@sidsiddhartha
@amistre64
What do u think? @sidsiddhartha
its A use (x1+x2)/2 for x co-ordinate of Mid-point... & (y1+y2)/2 for y-co-ordinate....
THANK U @israr000
I got one more left!
