Medal and fan How would you calculate the pH given the molarity of NaOH, or technically OH-?
@Abhisar @JFraser @Somy
luckily there there is a worked example of your question in my book lol
second part
Errr, that's in mol though, not molarity with a capital M. There wouldn't be any way to determine the liters.
whats in mole?
the concentration.
its in moledm-3
its unit of concentration
Yess, I know. I need the molarity though, meaning m/L
mol/L*
dear lol Liter is dm3
molarity and concentration are same thing unit is mole/dm3 or mole/L exact same thing
Oh. I didn't know that.
i didn't know it too when i just joined OS but here ppl use liters a lot so i got to know it somehow xD
Okay, well I took the concentration, raised it -log^x (x being the number), then subtracted that number from 14. Wouldn't that be right?
yeah i guess this is how it's saying
in a quick way lol
Alrighty then.
is it clear? or should i post the part of where it kinda explains what you need to calculate it or so?
No I understand that formula, I've used it before, I just wasn't sure if I was able to use it for molarity.
cool then :D
Thank ya(:
no probs :D
