Which of the following is the correct model of C8H18?

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

D

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

Each "point" or "vertex: represents a carbon atom. D is the only one that has 8 of those. Furthermore, each Carbon can make 4 bonds and the single line joining 2 points is a single bond. So the 2 carbons at each end of the chain have 3 Hydrogens each (since it makes one bond for every hydrogen atom, and the then it is linked to another carbon through the line drawn (the single bond)). The other carbons have 2 hydrogens each since they are linked to 2 single bonds to another carbon.
