Generally from 0 to -7. You calculate pH by finding the -log[H+]. If you express [H+] as a power of 10, the log "cancels" the base 10, leaving only the exponent. The exponent you multiply by -1 to get the pH. This means the exponent will already tell you the pH before you do anything, but it'll just be negative. Hope that made sense!
