At sea level we are dealing with the pressures from the air and water pressure is heavier than the air pressure. As we go down in depth, the pressure increases by 14.7 psi (pounds per square inch). Technically, this means that we will see an increase of this magnitude every 33 feet. You mentioned the bends the body can withstand as we descend into the ocean. This can be fatal to the body. Did you research indicate the rate at which the body absorbs nitrogen? @Abhisar

actually solubility of gases increase with increase in pressure. When we go down in the sea the pressure increases and increases the solubility of Nitogen and oxygen into the blood.

When we come back upwards the solubility decreases and thus the dissolved nitrogen and oxygen starts coming out in the form of bubbles. This leads to a medical condition called as Bends

Carbonated cold drinks have carbon dioxide dissolved in it. To make this possible they are sealed with high pressure. But when we open the bottle pressure reduces to normal atmospheric pressure. Due to this solubility decreases and carbon dioxide starts escaping away gradually
