@OOOPS With a force of 32 N, Lisa pulls a wagon with her little brother. The handle of the wagon makes a 26° angle with the ground as shown below. Wagon pulled along the ground with a force of 32 Newtons at a 26 degree angle with the ground. Approximately what force will move the wagon vertically upwards? A. 14.03 N B. 23.08 N C. 15.61 N D. 28.76 N

I don't know how to say. The vertical force is 14.03 N but it is not the force can move the wagon vertically upwards.

@dan815

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@OOOPS I got B.

show your work, please

IF nobody minds can someone help me with my question? I have been waiting for two hours.

OpenStudy (mosaic):

If you draw the free body diagram, you will find 32*sin(26) = mg. And that is the force required to move the body vertically.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol, @Chuck_O_Beast if your question is not too hard, and if I can, I will. tag me there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mosaic nope, N = mg, and 32sin(26) is required force

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My bad , @OOOPS , you are correct. I looked at the wrong answer, since you use sine x = sin26 x 32 = 14.03 N

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no..its answer is option A...14.03N @lilia222 use this... sin26=perp/hypt you have to find perp,so it will become.. perp=(hypt)sin26=32sin26=14.03

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you all :) , definitely was looking at the wrong one.

u r warmly welcome..
