A body is accelerated uniformly from rest and in the first 8.0 of its motion, it travels 20m. a) what is the average speed for this period of 8s? b) what is the speed at the end of this period? c)what is the acceleration?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so time of acceleration = 8 s distance traveled = 20 m velocity=distance/time; acceleration=velocity/time; After 8 seconds, the acceleration ceases and so, at constant velocity, acceleration is zero. Now, the solution: c) acceleration = distance/time*time = 20/8*8 = 0.2941 m/s^2.
