How many oxygen atoms are present in 2.50 mol of: a) oxygen atoms b)oxygen molecules I found the amount of oxygen atoms in 2.50 moles but I am confused in b)oxygen molecules? How do I find that?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Hello @Mateaus !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hello, I got confused when I saw molecules on this question

OpenStudy (abhisar):

one molecule of oxygen contains 2 atoms.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

One mole of oxygen molecule will contain 6.022 ×10\(^23\), so one mole will contain 2*6.022 ×10\(^23\) oxygen atoms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar how do you figure out one molecule of oxygen contains 2 atoms?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

The molecular formula of oxygen is \(\large\ O_2\)
