OpenStudy (superhelp101):

If 2.0 moles of A and 5.0 moles of B react according to the hypothetical reaction below, how many moles of the excess reactant will be left over at the end of the reaction? A + 2B → AB2 0.50 mol A left over 0.50 mol B left over 1.0 mol A left over 1.0 mol B left over @Abhisar how do you do this?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

According to the given reaction 1 mole of A reacts with 2 moles of B so 2 moles of A will react with 4 moles of B and hence will leave 5-4=1 mole of reactant (B) behind.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

GOt it ?

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

yes! then 1.0 mol B left over
