trig substitution, medal and fan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so when substituting i get ((6tan(t))^3)/(sqrt(6tan(t))^2+36)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

working the denominator i get sqrt(36tan^2(t)+36)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

36sqrt(tan^2(t)+1) so far i right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then use pythagorean identity so 36sec^2(t)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is for the denominator so all together i have int (tan^3(t)sec^2(t)dt)/(36sec^2(t))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x= tan(x) and dx=sec^2(x)
