2ln 3x +1 = 5

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

solve for x?

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

2 ln( 3x+1) =5 devide by 2 both sides ln(3x+1) = 5/2

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

a Hint :- e^(ln x) =x

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

so e^ln(3x+1) = 3x+1

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

how ever u have ln(3x+1) = 5/2 so e^ln(3x+1) =e^(5/2) 3x+1 = e^(5/2 ) solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\huge \ln(3x+1)^{2}=5\] \[\huge (3x+1)^{2}=10^{5}\] \[\huge 3x+1=\sqrt{10^{5}}\] \[\huge 3x+1=100\sqrt{10}\] \[\huge x=\frac{ 100\sqrt{10}-1 }{ 3 }\]

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

wow ! seems i forget about math xD

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

but since its ln not log we use e as inverse not 10
