Kinda confused on this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Mass number = No of neutrons + No of protons. What do u think gives information about number of protons ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say 14

OpenStudy (abhisar):

14 gives you the sum of no of neutrons and protons. It is mass number.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Atomic number gives you the information about number of protons.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Now if you know the atomic number and mass number you can easily calculate the number of neutrons. Number of neutrons will be equal to Mass number - Atomic number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it's atomic number then

OpenStudy (abhisar):

\(\huge\checkmark\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks again
