Let's look at x = -5 first. Notice that the equation has no y in it.

That means that no matter what the value of y is, x is always -5. That means you can come up with a few points to graph. Then you draw a line through them.

oh ok so it can be like (-5,1) and so on so on

For example, let y = 0. x is always -5, so that gives you the point (0, -5). Now let y = 2. Once again, x is still -5, so this gives us point (-5, 2)

You chose y to be 1. I chose y to be 0 and 2. Now we have three points. It really only takes two points to graph a line, so we can graph the line x = -5.
