OpenStudy (lovelyharmonics):

According to the activity series, which of the following single replacement reactions will take place? LiCl + K yields KCl + Li 2 AlBr3 + 3Mg yields 3MgBr2 + 2Al Pb(NO3)2 + 2Cu yields 2CuNO3 + Pb CaCl2 + 2Na yields 2NaCl + Ca

OpenStudy (lovelyharmonics):

@JoannaBlackwelder

OpenStudy (lovelyharmonics):

d isnt possible but i dont know about the rest of them

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Right, Ca is more reactive than Na so the reaction wouldn't take place.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Here is a link to a good reactivity chart to help you out. http://www.docstoc.com/docs/113129835/Activity-Series-of-Metals-and-Nonmetals-2

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Li is higher on the chart than K, so the first reaction would also not take place.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Make sense?

OpenStudy (lovelyharmonics):

so then its b

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Yes, b would take place. :)
