When y-intercept changes, you just shift the line up and down.
Showing some example of shifts, SHIFTS: f(x)= ∜x ⇒ f(x)= ∜(x \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ +~\rm{c} }\) ) , c units left. f(x)= ∜x ⇒ f(x)= ∜(x \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ -~\rm{c} }\) ) , c units right. f(x)= ∜x ⇒ f(x)= ∜(x )\(\normalsize\color{blue}{ -~\rm{c} }\) , c units down. f(x)= ∜x ⇒ f(x)= ∜(x )\(\normalsize\color{blue}{ +~\rm{c} }\) , c units up.
And same is here, \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ y=mx+b ~~~~~~~⇒~~~~~~~ y=mx+b\color{red}{ +b} }\) (whether ` b ` is positive or negative, you can see that it is a VERTICAL SHIFT, right ?
yeah so its a,c,e?
Close, it is just \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ a }\) and \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ c }\)
You can exclude C, because you can't Stretch a line in this way. You can change the diagonal of it...
