A weak base BOH of conc. 0.02mole/litre has a pH value of 10.45.If 100ml of this base is mixed with 10ml of 0.1M HCl , what will be the pH of the mixture?

you mean this question ? @anchalrajawat

yaa...eric...i'm not getting it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there's yet another in closed question.....

OpenStudy (eric_d):

try again..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I want to know how to solve this......

OpenStudy (jfraser):

use the ICE box approach. Knowing the pH tells you the OH concentration. adding strong base neutralizes some of the hydroxide, allowing you to recalculate the pH in the new volume

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this I already tried ......

OpenStudy (jfraser):

That's the approach, you must have missed a step or misunderstood. Start with the balanced equation for the dissociation of the base, BOH, in water.
