The position of an object at time t is given by s(t) = -9 - 5t. Find the instantaneous velocity at t = 4 by finding the derivative

It's -5 right?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

s(t) = -9 - 5t <---- to get the derivative for that, you can just use the power rule so yeap, the derivative is -5 so s'(t) = -5 now setting t = 4 won't make any difference because the derivative is a constant, so is ends up at -5 :)

thanks
