The most common isotope of nitrogen is nitrogen-14, or 14N. Which of the following atoms has the same number of neutrons as 14N? 13C 16O 15N 14P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

N-14 has 7 protons and 7 neutrons. The 14 is the mass number, the sum of protons and neutrons. The correct answer is 13C. It has 6 protons and 7 neutrons. In matter of fact, 14P is nonsense. P has 15 protons and more-or-less the same number of neutrons. A correct symbol for P might be 31P or 30P, not (I repeat NOT) 14P.
