A sphere has the same shape as a circle except that the circle is 2D while the sphere is 3D. So you would have to rotate the circle in both directions to get a sphere.
yes, assuming it is centred at the origin... but really, you can rotate a circle across any diameter as the axis of rotation and get a sphere

Soooo. Just to add some more detail to this discussion I don't recommend using A and B as it may confuse us further when we see x and y. Also rotating any circle along the x or y axis will produce a sphere. More generally a sphere can be produced my rotating any circle across any axis
