g. When table salt is added to water, the ionic compound dissolves. (2 points) i. Fill in the state symbols in the following chemical equation to represent this process. (1 point) NaCl(s) --> NaCl(aq) I think these are the state symbols, not positive though. and it is a physical reaction right? because if the water was evaporated, the salt could be found.

it's a chemical reaction because the ionic bond is broken. But yeah the symbols are correct. When you "dissolve" any salt, it becomes coated with water molecules. The orientation of the water molecules depends on the charge on the ion.
