PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!! <3 :) !!!!!!!!!!!! :( :'( A solution has a pH of 10.3. When a solid is dissolved in the solution, the pH changes to 9.6. What can be inferred from this observation? The solid is basic. The solid contains hydroxide ions. The solid is acidic. The solid contains hydrogen ions.

since the pH is going down that means there are less \(\sf H^+\) in the solution, what would this mean?
idk... im so confused :(
So, acids have \(\sf pH^+ <7 \) and alkali (basic) is \(\sf pH^+ > 7\) and we are moving from 10.6 down to 9.6 10.6-9.6 = 1 so we have a relative ph change which means we are reducing H+ and thus becoming more acidic
so c?
yep
