A process results in the formation of a gas as energy is absorbed. Which statement correctly classifies the change that is taking place? A. The formation of a gas is evidence that a chemical change must have occurred. B. The change is a physical change whenever the formation of a new substance is not specified. C. The change is ambiguous, because the evidence can result from either a chemical or a physical change. D. The absorption of energy can only occur during a chemical change.
@Compassionate @zzr0ck3r
It shld be B
yes it should be b, liquid water absorbs heat to transform into water vapor and it is a physical change.
So if formation of new substance is not mentioned then it should be physical change
somehow answer was C :/ @Abhisar @eric_d
aww snap :(
But m not able to figure it out how B is not correct ?
why is b correct?
Because physical change is when no new substance is formed.
or may be i am taking the statement in a wrong way
