@sky577 @tkhunny

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

\[\let\\\\f(x)=3x^4 - 5x^3 - x^2 - 8x + 4\] look there are two sign changes one from 3x^4 to (-5x^3) and another (-8x) to 4 so there are 2 possible possitive zeroes

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

now try f(-x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, the answer will be the last choice or first

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

it will be \[f(-x)= 3x^4 + 5x^3 - x^2 + 8x + 4 \] here also two sign change one is 5x^3 to (-x^2) another is (-x^2) to 8x so from here two possible negative zeroes or two possible complex zeroes.

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

yeah it should be then the last one

Thanks so much
