Equations in Two Variables
What about them?
Solve the equation for y. 5x – 7y = 10 A. B. C. D.
What is the multiple choice answers
help me please @NIKKI34
@e.mccormick
@Zarkon plz help
This is too confusing.
what is confusing you
Do you know how to solve for different things? Order of operations?
yes pemdas
i need help
Kk. What you are doing is basically the reverse. So first you find out what was added or subtracted on one side, and doing the reverse to move it to the other side. 5x – 7y = 10 So, you want to get y alone. What can you add or subtract to both sides to get y more alone than it is.
so add
Well, it is add or subtract, but from both sides. Remember, you don't want to move y unless there was more than one y and you needed to get them together.
so 5xy +7?
I am not sure how you got that. Order of operations: PEMDAS ( ), ^, */, +- That is the order math happens in. Solve for: SADMEP +-, */, ^, ( ) That is reversing the order to move things away from something you are solving for. 5x – 7y = 10 is the same thing as: –7y + 5x = 10 Does that help? Because the goal is to move things away from y. You start with what you can add or subtract from both sides to get less things near y. Remember, if it is multiplying y, you can't move it at this point. Only things that are added can be subtracted and only things that are subtracted can be added at this point.
