How is the vapor pressure, boiling point, and freezing point of a solvent affected by the addition of a solute?

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

solute dissolves in hot water faster

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dissolving solute in solvent can decrease or increase vapor pressure that effect on boiling point. if solute decrease intermolecular forces, vapor pressure decrease and vice versa. got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

am i right @yamyam70 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when vapor pressure decrease boiling point increase and vice versa.i forget to write that.

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

Honestly I don't know , way to advance for me :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i didn't realize what does it mean(way to advance for me). make it simple.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and i think if intermolecular forces increase, freezing point will increase

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

I mean, I'm not studying this particular topic yet
