If an atom has twelve electrons, how many electrons are in the n=1 energy level? How many electrons are in the n=2 energy level? How many electrons are in the n=3 energy level? options: 7,3,0,5,1,8,4,2,6
Electronic configuration will be \(\sf 1s^2~2s^2~2p^6~3s^2\)
So in energy level 1, there will be 2 electrons, in energy level 2, there will be 2+6=8 electrons and energy level 3 there will be 2 electrons
Got it ?
Thank you!
you probably didn't notice, but you posted your \(\large\sf\color{blue}{\underline{\href{ http:///openstudy.com/study#/groups/chemistry}{Chemistry}}}\) question in the Biology section. Next time when you ask a question, check if you're in the right section :)
The subject I am doing is biology so naturally i posted it here
but thanks for the info anyways
