well.... you may want to cross-multiply first, and then simplify it looks like you'd end up with a quadratic anyhow \(\bf \cfrac{6t+7}{{\color{purple}{ 4t-1}}}=\cfrac{3t+8}{{\color{purple}{ 2t-4}}}\implies (6t+7)({\color{purple}{ 2t-4}})=({\color{purple}{ 4t-1}})(3t+8)\)
