Nnesha (nnesha):

can anyone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nnesha (nnesha):

Find the approximate sum of the series shown below. Hint: 4,096 = 4*6 6 is power of 4 i'm keep getting wrong answer

Nnesha (nnesha):

@satellite73 @acxbox22

Nnesha (nnesha):

@ganeshie8

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

where is the series ?

Nnesha (nnesha):

i'm soo sorry i forgot

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

So it seems there are 7 terms in the series ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

because the expoenent in the bottom is running from 0 to 6

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

\[\large 9 + \dfrac{9}{4} + \dfrac{9}{16}+\cdots+\dfrac{9}{4096}\] is same as \[\large \dfrac{9}{4^{0}} + \dfrac{9}{4^1} + \dfrac{9}{4^2}+\cdots+\dfrac{9}{4^6}\]

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Notice that first term = 9 common ratio = 1/4 use the geometric series partial sum formula to find the sum of "6" terms

Nnesha (nnesha):

i got 11.999 which can be 12 right

Nnesha (nnesha):

thanks a lot @ganeshie8
