how many moles of MgSiO3 are in 193g of the compound

OpenStudy (julian.pitalua):

Mol= mass/ molar mass mass= 193g The molar mass is on the periodic table.

OpenStudy (julian.pitalua):

Wait. Do you know how to calculate the molar mass of a compound?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do not

OpenStudy (julian.pitalua):

To calculate the molar mass , you have to add up the mass of each atom. Example : Molar mass of CO2= 12,01g/mol + 15.99(2)g/mol= 48...g/mol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im still having trouble. I added all the mass from the periodic table then divided by 193 g

OpenStudy (itsonlycdeee):

193 is divided by the total mass you get from adding all the molecular masses.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it! thank you both

OpenStudy (itsonlycdeee):

No problem!
