I feel like B and C are obviously wrong because of the fact that we breathe and walk through air. Anyone who's taken a bath or walked through water realizes that there's a lot of resistance to moving. So by comparison we can see that air has to move out of the way and not slowly. Now the problem between A and D is that these seem to be similar. But for A, combining with each other is wrong. Air is a fairly stable substance, if it wasn't it's be exploding on us all the time. If it was combining with each other all the time, it would be essentially undergoing a chemical reaction all the time, which it doesn't do without some catalyst to begin the reaction.
