It says the correct answer is LiCl+Al2(CO3)3 , and i understand why the elements are in that order but I don't understand why the subscripts are

lithium carries a +1 charge, carbonate carries a 2-

aluminum has 3+ charge, and chlorine 1- It is uslally postive charge first

(CO3)3 means 3 of the carbonate radical it is 3 because the aluminium ion has a charge of 3+ CO3 has a charge of 2-
