hey does electron configuration changes the element e.g. sodium losing its valence electron and it will have electron configuration of neon and if it doesnt changes the element then how does change in electron configuration effects the elemen.( i know sodium will be stable but are there anyother effect)

It gives it a charge. What they want to accomplish is a noble gas configuration, which is why they bond.
