not really sure... I would understand that the question is referring to a pure substance and you change the amount of that pure substance. In this case the boiling and melting points are intensive properties that doesn't change with the amount of substance you have. It's like said that you have a small ice cube or a big ice block. If both are of pure water both will have the same melting and boiling point. I would choose d) remain the same in place of c) become the same temperature. Become the same temperature will means that the melting and boiling point become the same value or something like that
