Select the statements that are correct about a group. The elements in each group have similar chemical properties. The elements in each group have identical physical properties. The atomic number of each element increases by 7 down through the group. Each member of the group has the identical electron configuration in the outer shell.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sweetburger Is it A?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Well, it says selects the statements as in (plural) so I'm assuming their might be more. So far A does look correct.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

C. is definitely not correct B. is definitely not correct D. might be correct but i must check

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

I think D. and A. are the answers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

About D, I think the number of electrons is equal. However, the periods are different. I am not sure if they are "identical".

OpenStudy (ammarshahzad):

I am 100% sure that answer is D Please give me a medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How about A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can give medal for the "best answer". :)

OpenStudy (ammarshahzad):

I am sure that the answer is D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think A is right too.

OpenStudy (ammarshahzad):

no because the chemical properties are change in the elements of each group

OpenStudy (ammarshahzad):

please give me medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL. All right, I will give you medal.

OpenStudy (ammarshahzad):

thanks

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

a is also correct

OpenStudy (ammarshahzad):

no

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

u want to tell me how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
