HELP ME GUYS-DNT NEED ANSWER, JUST TELL ME WHAT KIND OF PROBLEM IT IS? Automobile batteries are filled with a solution of sulfuric acid, which has a density of 1.285 g/cm3. The solution used to fill the battery is 38% (by mass) sulfruic acid. How many grams of sulfuric acid are present in 500 ml of battery acid?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First you need to find the mass of the solution. Then you can easily calculate the mass of sulfuric acid since you had the percentage.

OpenStudy (ebydaqueen19):

IS THIS CALLED PERCENT BY MASS PROBLEM?

OpenStudy (ebydaqueen19):

I DNT NEED STEPS TO SOLVE..I ALREADY HAVE SOLUTION

OpenStudy (ebydaqueen19):

I JUST NEED TO KNOW WHAT TYPE OF PROBLEM IT IS?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think you are right. Find the mass based on the percentage.

OpenStudy (ebydaqueen19):

OK THNX :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You've already figured it out. Well done
