Identify which sets of quantum numbers are valid for an electron. Each set is ordered (n,ℓ,mℓ,ms). Check all that apply. 2,0,0,-1/2 3,0,0,1/2 4,3,3,-1/2 3,2,-1,-1/2 3,2,1,1 2,2,1,1/2 0,2,1,-1/2 4,3,4,-1/2 3,1,-1,1/2 3,-2,-2,-1/2 1,2,0,-1/2 1,3.0,1/2

There are some simple restrictions on the allowed values of these quantum numbers. Firstly, n can be 1, 2, 3, etc as large as you like. Then for a given n, l can be 0, 1, etc, up to n-1. Next, for a given l, ml can be -l up to +l, in steps of one. Finally ms can be +1/2 or - 1/2 regardless of the values of the other quantum numbers. for example, suppose n=4, then l can be 0, 1, 2 or 3 ml can be -3, -2, -1, 0 , 1, 2, or 3 and ms can be +1/2 or - 1/2
