find the missing side in this 30°-60°-90° right triangle. Short = 5 , hypotenuse = 10 Long =

I'm here to help!
Even though you're saying that you're missing the long side of the triangle, it still will not be longer than the hypotenuse, which is the longest side of the 3.
Here's how it will look, but you don't need a picture to do the math. What would you use? It's a theorem.

theorem 5-12?

|dw:1412110997925:dw|if x = 5 then plug into (missing side) = x sqrt(3)
8? im totally confused:((
(missing side) = x sqrt(3) plug in 5 for x that would be your answer
so its 8?
@sleepyhead314
no... what do you get when you plug in 5 for x into x sqrt(3) ?
The triple for the 30-60-90 is this: (x, x sqrt 3, 2x). The x represents the shortest side, which here is 5. That's why the hypotenuse is 10...5*2 is 10. For the other leg, you have\[x \sqrt{3}\]If x is 5, then what is the measure of that leg?
got it thnx:))
