ok so how do i solve this (t + 1)^3 - 49 (t + 1)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

First factor out (t+1) \[\Large (t + 1)^3 - 49(t + 1)\] \[\Large (t + 1)((t + 1)^2 - 49)\] Then you factor \(\large (t + 1)^2 - 49\) using the difference of squares rule \[\Large (t + 1)((t + 1)^2 - 49)\] \[\Large (t + 1)((t + 1)^2 - 7^2)\] \[\Large (t + 1)(t + 1 - 7)(t + 1 + 7)\] \[\Large (t + 1)(t - 6)(t + 8)\]
