Help!! Prepare a solution of approximately 0.1 M concentration by dissolving 0.8g of solid sodium hydroxide in 200mL of H2O. Now I have to calculate the expected mass of benzoic acid (MW=122.12) required to react with 20mL of a 0.1M NaOH solution. but I can't figure out how to do it.

OpenStudy (cuanchi):

do you know the reaction between benzoic acid and NaOH?

OpenStudy (cuanchi):

C6H5COOH + NaOH ---> H2O + C6H5COO-Na+ the stoichiometry is 1mol of acid one mole of NaOH
