hello could you help me on this exponents question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is given that \[2^{2x-1}= 3^{1-x} \] find the value of \[12^{x}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hende find the value of x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hence*

OpenStudy (gorv):

\[2^{2x-1}=2^{2x}*2^{-1}\]

OpenStudy (gorv):

\[=\frac{ 2^{2x} }{ 2 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but i still can't get it

OpenStudy (gorv):

\[\frac{ (2^{2})^{x} }{ 2 }\]

OpenStudy (gorv):

u got what i m doing ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (gorv):

12^x= (3*4)^x (3*2^2)^x

OpenStudy (gorv):

\[=3^{x}*2^{2x}\]

OpenStudy (gorv):

it is 12^x we broke it into 2 and 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (gorv):

upto here u got me right ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (gorv):

on left side we got \[\frac{ (2^{2})^{x} }{ 2 }\]

OpenStudy (gorv):

now on right side

OpenStudy (gorv):

\[3^{1-x}=3*3^{-x}\]

OpenStudy (gorv):

\[\frac{ (2^2)^{x} }{ 2 }=3*3^{-x}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i understand until there now multiply both sides by 3^x ?

OpenStudy (gorv):

yeah

OpenStudy (gorv):

and thn also multiply by 2 on both side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got it 12^x = 6

OpenStudy (gorv):

to eliminate 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are the best thank you so much

OpenStudy (gorv):

yeah u got it ...very good :)

OpenStudy (gorv):

loll i m not the best..n welcme btw :)
