Help! I need to balance the following equations: FeCl3(aq) + KOH(aq) Fe(OH)3(s) + KCl(aq)

OpenStudy (ashley1nonly):

first excuse my spelling but after the KOH its an arrow

OpenStudy (ashley1nonly):

Are you there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah sorry had to eat

OpenStudy (ashley1nonly):

you just have to look at how much of each item is on each side. first look at the Fe its is balanaced on both sides then the Cl you have 3 on the left and 1 on the right so to make it equal you but an 3 on the right now the cl is balanced now you look at the K you have 1 on the right and 3 on the left so you put an 3 on the right to make it balanced then you look at the (oh) you have three on both sides so you should have FeCl3 + 3KOH ---- Fe(OH)3+3KCL
