Can someone help me please? If 75.0 g of silderite ore (FeCO3) is heated with an excess of oxygen, 45.0 g of ferric oxide (Fe2O3) is produced. 4feCO3(s) + O2(g) -> 2fe2O3(s) + 4CO2(g) what is the percent of yield of this reaction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

about 90%, do you want me to explain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes because i don't know how to figure it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np kk

1.) our reagent FeCO3- mass-116, 0.65(75g/116g/moles) 2.) 1moles Fe2O3 for every 2mole FeCO3 Fe2O3=.325moles 3.) Get both mass of Fe2CO3 and FeCO3 45, 160 grams 4.) 45/160grams*100=about 90%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
