Please help me! Geometry!
7. Find the value of x for which l is parallel to m. The diagram is not to scale.
A. 28 B. 56 C. 84 D. 152
@phi please help
28?
|dw:1413501692154:dw| yeap
so it = 84 or u dont add them?
nope.... the 56 degrees doesn't correlate to the "x" angle...... in this case
so its just 28?
yeap IF x = 28 degrees then it becomes equal to its alternate interior angle up above and thus the lines are indeed parallel
will u help me with a few more questions?
notice in the example at http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/alternate-interior-angles.html c = f and d = e ONLY IF the "orange lines" are parallel
4. Find m<Q (1 Point) A. 76 B. 104 C. 66 D. 114
you can always post anew if I dunno someone elese may and we can revise each other
76?
hmmm actaully for Q should be h http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/alternate-exterior-angles.html
I am thinking either A or C
hmmm any ideas on what R might be?
76?
ohh r
R = 76 and then Q = 66?
yeap so we can say that |dw:1413502600561:dw| recall that there are only 360 degrees if you go around so we have 76 = R or 76 + 76 + Q + ? = 360 BUT Q and ? are both equal to each other since they're vertical angles or Q = ? so we can say that \(\bf 76+76+Q+\square =360\implies 152+Q+\square=360 \\ \quad \\ Q+\square=360-152\qquad {\color{brown}{ Q=\square \implies 2Q}}\implies 2Q=360-152 \\ \quad \\ Q=\cfrac{360-152}{2}\)
\(\bf Q=\square \implies \begin{cases} Q+\square \implies Q+Q\implies 2Q \end{cases}\) just to clarify Q + "its vertial angle" are equal
Q = "its vertial angle" thus that'd be the same as saying Q + Q which is 2Q
q is 38
i think
76 + 76 + q(140) + 104 = 360
lemme see if I can put it differently
