will medal!!! Why is Lithium more reactive than Neon?

well look at the periodic table. lithium is all the way in the group 1 akali metals. that group is highly reactive because if you think about the electrons group 1 has only 1 valence electron. this means that it is more willing to create bonds with a lot of things. now look at neon. it's all the on the other side of the periodic table in the noble gases group. this group is where the elements want to be. this group has the ideal amount of electrons and is less willing to give one up to form a bond and that makes it less reactive.
